The rich young ruler – I wonder if he ever thought about his encounter with Jesus? When he reached the end of his life, when he was an old man and his bank account was full, his stock portfolio was well-built, and his trophy case was stuffed to the brim. Did he think back to the day he met a carpenter’s son and the carpenter’s son called him to risk it all on the kingdom of God…..and he said no? Has God asked you to risk it all for the kingdom?
